A Tale of Two Sisters

Location: Huntington Central Park. Subject: tween photography.

Rather than buying a motorcycle, I recently burned my down payment on a new Canon 7d camera. It’s pretty much the most incredible piece of technology I’ve ever owned, so you can imagine that I was itching to try it out. Fortunately for me and my 7d, my friend Natasha is a nanny and asked if I could photograph the delightful twin sisters you see below as a surprise Christmas present for their parents. I met the three of them at HB Central park for an afternoon session before they moved onto dance practice, one of their many pursuits.

Cara and Brigit were very sweet, and after getting used to the big cameras staring them at the face, opened up and let their personalities shine. By the end of the day, they were using my cameras to photograph each other. The cameras weigh as much as they do, but they still did a great job with them. Thank you ladies for a fun afternoon!

A few of the pictures have notes, which you can see in the bottom border of the full-size versions.

It's almost as if your mom is showing you a picture of her and her sister. _MG_4261 Skipping along A lighter moment. :) The girls got curious about my cameras, and ended up spending quite a while shooting with them. I adore these pictures of the twins (they are 2nd cousins of mine) These pictures definitely showcase their personalities. Love the editing done to them as well.
